One year ago he was given the anti-biotic, Levaquin, which swelled his legs, ankles, and feet. I was a professional dancer and Director of Atlanta Contemporary Dance Company from 1948-79, but continued dance at Georgia State University until 2002. This long history puts tremendous stress on the spine particularly. Dance and a poor treatment caused the lower spine to move, therefore pain.
I was referred to Dr. Glynn Taunton in Montezuma, GA. My husband and I were pilots, so we flew down every three or four weeks and were picked up at the airport by one of his nurses.
The treatment took about a year because a person with the history of lots of movement requires more time to heal. The injections into the ligaments and tendons strengthen them to hold the spine in place.
That was at least ten years ago and I am still pain free at the age of 81. Prolotherapy is a miracle!!! Especially when directed by Dr. Taunton.
